The Special Intensive Revision-2026 of electoral rolls in Hyderabad has identified 2.60 lakh Absent, Shifted or Dead electors. The number dropped significantly from 11.50 lakh after verification. Digitisation of enumeration forms has reached 42.96%, with Chandrayangutta leading.

Hyderabad: A latest status report on the Special Intensive Revision-2026 of the electoral rolls has identified 2.60 lakh electors as Absent, Shift or Dead (ASD) in Hyderabad.
On July 15, the District Election Officer, RV Karnan, had said that 11.50 lakh ASD electors were found missing. By July 21, the number of ASD electors came down to 2.60 lakh. Yakupura assembly constituency stood top with 37,197 ASD electors while Amberpet assembly constituency registered the lowest number of ASD electors, with 6,427.
Meanwhile, the SIR exercise in Hyderabad district till date has completed 42.96% of digitisation of the enumeration forms. Out of 47,36,669 total electors, the BLOs collected enumeration forms from 20,34,849 electors in all 15 assembly constituencies. In digitisation, Chandrayangutta assembly constituency led with 49.36%.
