Srinivas Goud seeks new railway underpass at New Moti Nagar

Hyderabad: Former Minister V Srinivas Goud has urged South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava to address railway-related issues affecting residents of New Moti Nagar and Saddulagundu in Mahabubnagar town.

He said more than 10,000 people living in New Moti Nagar are forced to cross railway tracks to reach Saddulagundu, Rajendranagar and Premnagar. The unsafe crossing has led to several accidents, with many people losing limbs. It also hampers the movement of ambulances during emergencies, he said.

Goud appealed to the SCR General Manager to sanction the construction of a new Railway Under Bridge (RUB) at New Moti Nagar to ensure public safety.

He also sought the Railway Department’s permission to construct a permanent road connecting New Moti Nagar with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) warehouse. He said the road would be taken up either by the municipality or independently once railway approval is granted.

Goud also highlighted the problem of stagnant drainage water near the New Moti Nagar bridge and urged the railway authorities to take permanent measures to resolve the issue.
