Three killed in separate road accidents in erstwhile Khammam

Khammam: Three persons died in separate road accidents in the erstwhile Khammam district on Thursday.

In an accident at the Nava Bharat area in Kothagudem, two persons died on the spot when a speeding TGSRTC bus hit the motorcycle they were travelling on. According to the police, the incident occurred when the deceased, Eesam Janardhan (47) and Bhukya Dudya (45), were crossing the road to have lunch at a hotel in the area.


They both belonged to Mylaram village in Laxmidevipally mandal in the district. Based on a complaint lodged by Janardhan’s son, Biksham, Paloncha Town Police registered a case and launched a probe into the incident.

In another incident at the NSP crossroads in Kallur town of Khammam district, Merugu Gopi (22), a resident of Narayanapuram village in Kallur mandal, died on the spot when a speeding truck hit the motorcycle he was riding.
