Hyderabad: The Women Safety Wing (WSW) on Friday trained lecturers and assistant professors from government degree colleges and universities as Master Trainers to roll out the ‘Stand with Her’ campaign across the State.
The programme, held at NI-MSME, Yousufguda, focused on equipping faculty members to promote gender sensitivity, challenge gender stereotypes and encourage bystander intervention in higher educational institutions.
Addressing the participants, Women Safety Wing Director General Charu Sinha said preventing gender based violence requires the active participation of men and boys.
Joint Director of Education Dr. Rajendra Singh stressed the role of teachers in fostering equality and mutual respect among students.
Officials said the trained faculty will now conduct similar awareness programmes in their respective institutions across Telangana.
