Hyderabad: Former footballer of united Andhra Pradesh and South Central Railway, Jayakumar Williams, passed away here. He was 73 and survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
Old-timers recall that during his playing days, Jayakumar was known for his fearless and perfectly timed sliding tackles, which made him one of the most dependable defenders on the field.
The football fraternity of Bolarum Sporting expressed condolences to the bereaved family members.
