The Ashada Masa Bonalu celebrations began at the Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Temple in Golconda on Thursday. Around 2,000 police personnel, supported by drones, CCTV surveillance and She Teams, have been deployed to ensure the safety and security of devotees throughout the festivities.

Hyderabad: The Ashada Masa Bonalu festivities commenced on Thursday at Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Temple, Golconda. The month-long festivities will be held across 3, 427 temples in the city till August 13.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar reviewed security measures from the foothills to the top of Golconda Fort before offering prayers at the temple and participating in special rituals.
He said around 2,000 police personnel have been deployed, with special contingents stationed along the route from Langar Houz crossroads to the temple.
Drones and an extensive CCTV network are being used for round-the-clock surveillance, while the Crime Wing has stepped up vigilance against pickpocketing and chain snatching. She Teams have also been deployed for the safety of women devotees.
