A 21-year-old dental student from Secunderabad was killed and her friend seriously injured after their car overturned on the Outer Ring Road near Tukkuguda. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old dental student was killed and her friend seriously injured after the car they were travelling in overturned on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Tukkuguda in the early hours of Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Addanki Amulya, a resident of Secunderabad and a dental student at MNR College.
According to the police, she was driving the car when the accident occurred. Her friend, identified as Siddarth, who was travelling in the front passenger seat, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Amulya and Siddarth had left their residence around 1.30 am and drove towards Shamshabad. While returning home, they reportedly lost their way and entered the carriageway leading towards Pedda Amberpet.
“After crossing the Pedda Golconda exit toll plaza, at around 6 am, the car is suspected to have gone out of control, rammed into the road divider, crossed onto the opposite carriageway towards Shamshabad, and overturned. Amulya suffered severe head and multiple body injuries and died at the scene. Siddarth was rescued with serious injuries and shifted to a hospital for treatment,” the police said.
A case has been registered at the Shamshabad Police Station under relevant provisions, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
