MLR Institute of Technology won four honours at the CSI Annual Excellence Awards 2026, including awards for management support, student branch counselling and student volunteers. Institute leaders said the recognition reflects MLRIT’s continued commitment to promoting professional society activities

Hyderabad: MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT), Hyderabad, won four awards at the Computer Society of India (CSI) Annual Excellence Awards 2026 here on Saturday.
The Best CSI Supporting Management Award was presented to Marri Anushreya Reddy, Secretary, MLR Institute of Technology, for her support in promoting CSI activities, while the Best Student Branch Counselor Award was presented to Dr K Sai Prasad, Associate Professor and Head, Department of CSE (AI & ML), in recognition of his guidance and efforts in strengthening the CSI Student Branch.
Similarly, fourth-year CSE students M Sneha and Poojya Kavuru bagged the Outstanding Student Volunteer Award. Further, MLRIT, in association with CSI, successfully hosted the “50K AI Ready Students” event.
Congratulating the awardees, MLRIT Founder Secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy noted that the institute had received the CSI Annual Excellence Awards for the fifth time, reflecting its sustained excellence in promoting professional society activities.
Anushreya Reddy thanked CSI for the recognition and stated that the management would continue extending its support to CSI initiatives in the years to come. MLRIT Chairman Marri Laxman Reddy, Vice Chairman Marri Dhiren Reddy and Director Dr V Radhika Devi congratulated all the award recipients.
