University of Hyderabad faculty and research scholar awarded prestigious Royal Society

Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) celebrated a major milestone in global scientific research as Dr. Pratap Kollu, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Electronics Science and Technology (CASEST), School of Physics, has been awarded the prestigious Visiting Fellowship by the Royal Society, UK.

Accompanied by his PhD research scholar, Prajakta Dange, Dr. Kollu recently concluded a highly successful 10-day international academic exchange visit to the University of Glasgow, UK, where he also served as an Honorary Faculty Member.


During this international exchange, the UoH research team collaborated closely with Prof. Duncan H. Gregory, Chair in Inorganic Materials at the School of Chemistry, University of Glasgow. Their advanced research deliberations and experimental strategies focused on critical, future-ready domains including Advanced Functional Materials, Smart Instrumentation Systems and Next-Generation Energy Storage Systems.

This fellowship program is supported by the Yusuf and Farida Hamied Foundation, established by the prominent scientist, leader, and philanthropist Dr. Yusuf Hamied, Chairman of Cipla.
