MLR Institute of Technology alumnus Gopal Yadav has won a gold medal for India at the South Asian Rockball Tournament in Nepal. The institute credited its sports scholarship for supporting his academic and sporting journey while celebrating his international achievement.

Hyderabad: MLR Institute of Technology (MLRIT) alumnus Gopal Yadav has secured a gold medal for India at South Asian Rockball Tournament recently held in Nepal.
Gopal Yadav, an MBA student (2017–2019 batch) at MLRIT, played a vital role in the team’s gold medal-winning performance.
Recognizing his sporting talent and supporting his academic aspirations alongside his athletic career, the Institute had extended free admission to Gopal Yadav under its sports quota scholarship
MLRIT founder secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekar Reddy said Gopal’s dedication, discipline, and perseverance have earned him the honour of representing India and winning a gold medal on the international stage. He highlighted the success of Nikhat Zareen, one of India’s most celebrated women boxers and an alumna of MLRIT, who joined the institution under the sports quota.
