A 43-year-old woman from Rajanna Sircilla district was allegedly gang-raped in Secunderabad after two men reportedly lured her with the promise of helping her participate in a television programme on family disputes. Mahankali police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Hyderabad: A 43-year-old woman from Rajanna Sircilla district was allegedly gang-raped in Secunderabad after two men reportedly lured her with the promise of helping her participate in a television programme on family disputes.
According to Mahankali police, the woman, who has been living separately from her husband due to alleged dowry harassment, travelled to the city on Tuesday to attend the programme.
One of the suspects, who are yet to be identified allegedly convinced her that he knew the organisers and took her to a building in Ranigunj, where he sexually assaulted her. Another man later arrived and allegedly raped her.
The suspects fled after the woman raised an alarm.
Based on her complaint, the Mahankali police booked a case and are investigating.
