An 11-year-old girl sustained serious injuries after being hit by a speeding autorickshaw in Hydershakote, Narsingi. Police traced the vehicle using CCTV footage, arrested the driver, seized the autorickshaw and registered a case. A drunk-driving test was also conducted.

Hyderabad: An 11-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after being hit by an autorickshaw at Hydershahkote in Narsingi on the suburb on Tuesday.
According to police, the girl identified as Sriharika, was stepping out of her house when a speeding autorickshaw struck her near Yadav Bhavan Hotel. She suffered a severe head injury along with multiple injuries on her body.
The injured girl was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
Acting on CCTV footage from the area, Narsingi police traced the autorickshaw involved in the accident and arrested its driver, Arbaz around the midnight.
Police also conducted a drunk driving test to determine whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The autorickshaw has been seized, and a case has been registered.
