An accused in a POCSO case allegedly escaped from Mahabubnagar District Jail after scaling the prison wall in the early hours of Monday. The DIG of Prisons has launched an inquiry into the security breach, while efforts are underway to trace the absconding accused.

Mahabubnagar: In a sensational development, an accused person in a POCSO case has escaped from the Mahabubnagar District Jail on the early hours of Monday, reports said.
Kishore Kumar Reddy of Nandimalla village in Amarchinta Mandal, scaled the prison wall and fled in the early hours. The jail authorities made all attempts to keep the incident under wraps. Kishore Kumar Reddy was as an accused in a POCSO case, according to reports.
The DIG of Prisons D Srinivas has arrived in Mahabubnagar and is conducting an inquiry into the matter. The escape of the POCSO accused from the jail has caused a sensation in the district headquarters. More details are awaited.
