Hyderabad and neighbouring districts continue to experience pleasant weather with overcast skies and light showers. The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain across Telangana and issued alerts for strong surface winds and thunderstorms in several districts.

Hyderabad: Overcast skies and pleasant weather conditions, along with isolated spells of showers, have continued to prevail in Hyderabad and neighbouring districts, providing a relaxed, breezy respite from the sweltering daytime temperatures that dominated the region till recently.
While there have been no major spells of heavy downpour, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Monday, has issued a forecast for light to moderate showers, extensively in all the districts of Telangana.
Interestingly, the weather department has also issued a specific alert for strong windy conditions to be prevalent in all parts of the State.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana. Strong surface winds of up to 50 to 60 kmph are very likely to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana,” the IMD, Hyderabad, forecast said.
The strong surface winds alert for the entire state has been issued till July 11 by IMD, Hyderabad.
For the next 48 hours, the Hyderabad weather department has also issued a warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds for multiple districts, including Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Peddapalli, and Jayashankar Bhupalapally.
