Four people died and over 20 were injured in two separate road accidents in Telangana’s Nalgonda and Gadwal districts. Both crashes involved private buses travelling from Hindupur to Hyderabad, with several passengers sustaining critical injuries and receiving emergency medical treatment

Hyderabad: Telangana woke up to a bloody Sunday morning with two major accidents being reported from Nalgonda and Gadwal districts in which four persons were killed and twenty others were injured, at least a dozen of them critically.
Reports from Nalgonda district said, a private travels bus rammed into a Swift Dezire car near Peddakaparty village around 6 a.m. The four occupants of the car including two women, a boy and the car driver died on the spot and five others travelling in the bus were injured critically.
The bus was on its way from Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad.
It was immediately not known about the car passengers. It was said that the accident took place near a road diversion where a fly-over is under construction. Both the vehicles were on the diversion and there was a head on collision.
In the second incident reported from Gadwal, a private travels bus and a truck collided leading to injuries for over 15 bus passengers. Incidentally, this bus is also on its way from Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad. The incident happened around 2 a.m. near Manapadu stage on National Highway 44.
The truck involved in the accident was on its way to Jammu and Kashmir and both the vehicles were travelling in the same direction. The truck is reported to have rammed into the bus, following which the bus overturned. Twenty two bus passengers were rescued from the bus.
Reports said five bus passengers received life threatening injuries and where shifted to a hospital in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.
