Water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours in several parts of Hyderabad from July 6 due to maintenance works at the Allabanda reservoir. HMWSSB will carry out valve replacement to fix leakages and has urged residents to conserve water.

Hyderabad: Water supply in certain areas of Hyderabad will be disrupted for 24 hours from 6 am on July due to works proposed at Allabanda reservoir.
According to a press release issued here by the HMWSSB, the affected areas include Jirra, Indiranagar, Hari Darga, Kummarwadi, Tappachabutra, Akashpuri, Shibli Hills, areas around Bilal Masjid, Godeki Kabar, Jali, Hanuman, Jangur Basti, Abushatakia, 2J Bus Stop, Ziaguda and Karwan, Sabzimandi, Ganganagar, Osmania, Shivalal Nagar, Berham Galli, Gangamata, Jali Hanuman, Azam Galli, Rahimpura, Puranapul, Chudi Bazaar, areas around Osmania Hospital, Shankar Bazaar and Jumeraat Bazaar.
The HMWSSB said to address major water leakages at the inlet and outlet of the 10-ML capacity reservoir at Allabanda reservoir in Goshamahal, replacement of valves work will commence at Allabanda reservoir from 6 am on July 6. Due to this, the water supply will remain affected until 6 am on July 7.
HMWSSB appealed to residents in the affected localities to use water carefully and avoid wastage.
