Sridhar Babu and Victoria Legislative Council Government Whip Lee Tarlamis discussed strengthening cooperation in trade, technology, startups, education and advanced manufacturing, while exploring new investment opportunities and preparing a roadmap for deeper bilateral collaboration.

Hyderabad: Victoria (Australia) Legislative Council Government Whip Lee Tarlamis paid a courtesy visit to Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu here on Saturday. The meeting held at Secretariat, primarily focused on strengthening trade and technology cooperation between Telangana and Victoria.
The two sides discussed enhancing bilateral collaboration in emerging technologies, the startup ecosystem, education, skill development, advanced manufacturing, gaming, visual effects (VFX), animation, entertainment, and other sectors.
On the occasion, Sridhar Babu said the State government was strategically developing the State’s industrial ecosystem to prepare for future challenges and emphasized that Telangana places high importance on international partnerships.
The Minister highlighted that Telangana offers a highly favorable environment for industrial development and invited businesses from Victoria to invest in the state while encouraging local entrepreneurs to explore opportunities.
Lee Tarlamis expressed Victoria’s interest in working with a progressive state like Telangana. He said both sides would identify areas of mutual cooperation and prepare a comprehensive roadmap to advance the partnership. Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju also attended the meeting.
