A 36-year-old woman died after allegedly falling from the 12th floor of her apartment in Kondapur, Hyderabad, late Friday night. Police said preliminary enquiries indicate she slipped near the balcony shoe rack, while her husband was inside with their autistic son.

Hyderabad: A 36-year-old woman died after allegedly falling from the 12th floor of a high-rise apartment at Kondapur in Gachibowli on Friday night.
The woman was identified as Aparna Anmol Arun, a resident of SMR Vinay Iconia Apartments in Kondapur.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 11.30 pm when she was believed to have slipped and fallen from the 12th floor, sustaining multiple grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Police said preliminary enquiries suggest that the incident took place near the shoe rack in the balcony of the flat. At the time, her husband, Anmol, was inside the apartment taking care of their son, who is autistic.
The woman’s brother, Avinash, lodged a complaint with the Gachibowli police. Following which a case was booked and is being investigated. He told the police that he does not suspect his brother-in-law, Anmol, in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, officials are examining all possible angles to ascertain the exact circumstances that led to the woman’s fall. No foul play has been established so far, and the investigation is on.
