Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao announced that he would sponsor the education and empowerment of 50 economically disadvantaged young women as part of his upcoming 50th birthday initiative. 

Calling his effort a humanitarian responsibility, he hoped that more individuals would come forward to contribute to similar causes.


Speaking at the SPARSA 2026 annual meeting at the JRC Convention Centre in Film Nagar on Friday, Rama Rao appreciated the organisation’s efforts in promoting women’s education, skill development and employment under its “Touch a Life” initiative. 

He also assured continued support for initiatives aimed at women’s social and economic empowerment, describing SPARSA’s work in transforming the lives of thousands of families as commendable.

Actress and activist Amala Akkineni attended the event as the guest of honour.
