Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from Secunderabad Railway Station on Wednesday after an unidentified man took him away while he was sleeping beside his mother on a platform.
According to the police, the child was asleep alongside his mother when the suspect allegedly picked him up and left the station. The woman woke up sometime later and found her son missing. She immediately alerted the railway police, following which a case was registered.
Special police teams have been formed to trace the kidnapper and rescue the child. Investigators are examining footage from the station’s surveillance cameras to identify and track down the suspect.
CCTV footage reportedly shows the child walking with the unidentified man without offering any resistance. Police suspect the suspect may have lured the boy by telling him that a relative was calling him or by offering to buy him something before taking him away.
Further investigation is underway.
