Hyderabad Police bust interstate ganja racket using Speed Post parcels

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police have busted an interstate ganja supply racket that allegedly used Speed Post services to deliver cannabis consignments to customers across the country. One person, Satyam Mishra, a native of Jharkhand, has been arrested in connection with the case.

According to the police, Mishra allegedly operated the racket with the help of four associates and supplied ganja to customers in as many as 21 cities and towns through parcels sent via Speed Post. Police said the network dispatched around 80 to 100 orders every day.

The racket came under the scanner after the police kept two Hyderabad-based suspects, Sushant Vyas and Laddu, under surveillance. The investigation subsequently led to the identification of the larger interstate network and Mishra’s arrest.

Police have registered two cases in connection with the racket and are continuing the investigation to trace the remaining accused and identify other members of the network.
