Vice Admiral K Srinivas, Director General, Naval Projects, Visakhapatnam, has been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal by President Droupadi Murmu for distinguished service. A 1990 Indian Navy officer, he has served in several key operational, technical, and strategic appointments over 35 years.

Hyderabad: Vice Admiral K Srinivas, Director General, Naval Projects, Visakhapatnam, has been conferred the prestigious Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in recognition of his distinguished service of the exceptional order to the nation.

Vice Admiral K Srinivas assumed charge as the Director General, Naval Projects, Visakhapatnam, on 1 November 2025, following a successful tenure as the Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam.


Commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1990, Vice Admiral Srinivas is an alumnus of Sainik School, Korukonda, and the National Defence Academy. Over an illustrious career spanning more than 35 years, he has held several key operational, technical, and strategic appointments, making significant contributions to strengthening India’s maritime capabilities.
