Hyderabad: Vehicular traffic came under severe strain on the routes between Madhapur and Hitec City as Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy attended the Rythu Bharosa programme at Shilpakala Vedika on Tuesday evening.
The event, which was scheduled from 3 pm to 9 pm, drew a large number of participants and political leaders, leading to congestion on several major and arterial roads surrounding the venue.
Traffic moved at a slow pace on key stretches, including Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, IKEA Junction, Trident Hotel Junction, Shilpakala Vedika Junction, Shilparamam Junction and Metal Charminar Junction.
Long queues of vehicles were witnessed during the evening peak hours as motorists experienced significant delays.
The Cyberabad Traffic Police deployed additional personnel to regulate traffic and manage vehicle movement around the venue.
Commuters were advised to avoid the affected stretches wherever possible and take alternate routes.
Temporary traffic diversions and brief restrictions were also enforced at intervals to facilitate the movement of VIP convoys and ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Meanwhile, motorists travelling towards Hitec City, Gachibowli, Kondapur and Jubilee Hills were asked to check traffic updates and plan their travel accordingly.
