Hyderabad: N. Himakar’s blazing century (115 off 53 balls, 13×4, 6×6) powered Simhadri Vizag Lions to a commanding 57-run victory over Capital Amaravati Royals in the Andhra Premier League T20 at the ACA International Stadium in Mangalagiri on Monday night.
Batting first, Simhadri Vizag Lions scored 243/5 in 20 overs, thanks to Himakar’s brilliant knock and valuable contributions from Ricky Bhui (45 off 24 balls, 5×4, 2×6) and K.H. Veera Reddy (44 off 29 balls, 5×4, 1×6). For the Royals, B. Ayyappa was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4/59.
In reply, Capital Amaravati Royals were bowled out for 186 in 19.1 overs despite fighting knocks from K. Karan Shinde (46 off 21 balls, 9×4, 1×6) and S.V. Rahul (48 off 33 balls, 2×4, 2×6).
For the winners, V. Srikanth (4/34) and P. Girinath Reddy (4/36) starred with the ball.
N. Himakar was adjudged Player of the Match.
