Hyderabad: Dr. G. S. Gopal Reddy, Founder and Director of GVR Karate Academy, demonstrated his exceptional martial arts skills by breaking 26 apples placed on the heads of six students in just 36 seconds using precise hand chops, thereby setting a remarkable new world record on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Friday here.
The six students who courageously participated in the record attempt were Bhargava Sai, Praneeth, Naithik Reddy, Sanjana, Thanvi, and Chinmayee Priya, whose confidence, discipline, and trust played a vital role in the successful completion of the record.
The achievement was officially observed and certified by Mr. Bingi Narendar Goud, India Chief Coordinator of Wonder Book of Records International.
Mr. Goud congratulated Dr. G. S. Gopal Reddy for successfully completing the world record which he felt was much more than a display of martial arts excellence, as it carried a strong social message encouraging young people to stay away from drugs and embrace discipline, sports, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
Mr. Goud also congratulated the students for their confidence and great discipline.
Mrs. Mahalakshmi Ramana Goud, Mrs. Uma Ramesh Yadav, both former Corporators, Dr. A. Krishna Reddy, Founder of Vivek Hospital, Mr. Kotla Niranjan Reddy, Founder and Director of Netaji Group of Schools, along with GVR Karate Academy Blackbelts Karim, Amrutha Reddy, Gana Santhoshinee Reddy, Raju, Sudhakar, Anagha, Shiney, Dwaita graced the event.
