Hyderabad: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sports Village Europa, Barcelona, Spain, and Silver Stone Sports Academy, Hyderabad, India, was signed at the corporate office of Sports Village Europa in Barcelona, Spain, on Thursday.
The MoU was signed by Joaquín Beana Martínez, Director of Sports Village Europa, and was attended by Mohammed Numan Shamsuddin, a promising tennis player from Hyderabad, India, along with Asia Beana Firayt, a talented teenage tennis player from Barcelona, Spain.
Also present at the ceremony was Mohammad Shamsuddin, a sports promoter from the city, who has been instrumental in fostering international sports collaborations and creating opportunities for young athletes.
“This strategic partnership aims to identify, nurture, and promote young sporting talent by creating pathways for athletes to access international training, coaching, and competition opportunities,” Shamsuddin said.
“Through this collaboration, Silver Stone Sports Academy will work closely with Sports Village Europa to facilitate the exchange of sports expertise and bring experienced European coaches to India, providing young athletes with world-class training and exposure,” he said.
“The initiative is expected to play a transformative role in Indian sports development by helping emerging athletes gain international experience, improve their performance standards, and compete on global platforms. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing future champions and promoting sporting excellence through international cooperation,” Shamsuddin said.
“Both organizations expressed their commitment to empowering the next generation of athletes and strengthening sporting ties between the two regions,” he said.
