A 33-year-old widow allegedly died by suicide at Sujatha Nagar in Kothagudem district late Tuesday night. Police said she was distressed over financial difficulties and family issues.

Kothagudem: An incident of a widowed woman allegedly dying by suicide at Sujatha Nagar in the district came to light on Wednesday.
According to the local SI, Ramadevi the deceased Chandragiri Aparna (33), whose husband Laskminarayana had died away a few years ago, was living in a rented house in Sujatha Nagar with her two children.
Last night, after she scolded the children for quarreling over noodles, they left for their maternal uncle Bellamkonda Krishna’s house situated locally. Distressed by this turn of events and unable to cope with financial difficulties, Aparna hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her house late on Tuesday night, the SI said.
Based on the complaint of the deceased woman’s brother Krishna, a complaint was lodged on Wednesday and launched an investigation into the incident, the SI, Ramadevi said.
