Unable to cope with mother’s death, teen dies by suicide

A 16-year-old student allegedly died by suicide at his home in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills. Police said he had been emotionally distressed since his mother’s death two years ago. Family members found him unconscious, and doctors declared him dead on arrival

Hyderabad: After reportedly struggling to cope with the loss of his mother, a 16-year-old student allegedly died by suicide at his house in Banjara Hills on Monday night.

According to police, the victim, identified as Rahman Patel, had been emotionally distressed since his mother passed away due to illness two years ago. On Monday, when no one else was at home, he allegedly hanged himself.

Family members rushed him to a nearby private hospital after discovering him unconscious. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Banjara Hills police are investigating.
