He made the remarks during his weekly press briefing on Tuesday, emphasizing that Iran has no plans for IAEA’s inspector to visit the damaged peaceful nuclear facilities of the country.
He stressed that Iran has not held any meeting with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi and “has no program for inspections of nuclear facilities damaged as a result of US and Israeli aggression
There is currently no protocol or mechanism for such inspections, he stated, adding that Iran will continue its existing procedures in line with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Responding to US claims about the start of nuclear talks and the possible deployment of inspectors to Tehran, Baqaei rejected the assertions as unfounded.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman also commented on the recent IAEA Board of Governors resolution, thanking the countries that “acted responsibly” and did not cooperate with the United States and European states.
He praised Russia, China, and Niger for voting against the resolution, describing their stance as “responsible,” while criticizing those who voted in favor, saying such “double standards are unacceptable.”
Turning to Iran’s blocked assets, Baghaei underlined that Iran will decide on use of unfrozen funds with no restrictions in this regard.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to a ceasefire in Lebanon, adding that ceasefire in Lebanon has included in memorandum of understanding (MoU) inked with the United States.
He went on to say that there is no justification for continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
Israel-Hezbollah war is a complex issue with final arrangements expected soon, he said, stating that US is obligated to force Israel to halt its attacks on southern Lebanon.
