Hyderabad: Widespread rains lashed Hyderabad and its suburbs on Monday night.
The rains, which commenced around midnight in most parts of the city and its suburbs, lasted for more than an hour. With varying intensity, the rains in some suburban areas continued till the early hours.
The extended western suburbs of Chandanagar, Patancheru and Serlingampalli, among other areas, received the most intense spells, with some places recording more than 12 cm of rainfall.
For Tuesday, the weather forecast indicated possible spells of moderate rain across the city and its suburbs.
