Hyderabad: Widespread rains lashed Hyderabad and suburbs on Monday late night, ushering in a pleasant Tuesday morning.
The rains which commenced around midnight in most parts of the city and the suburbs lasted for more than five hours. In varying intensity, the rains in some parts of suburbs continued till early hours.
The extended western sunburbs of Chandanagar, Patancheru and Serlingampalli among other areas received the most intense spells with some places recording more than 12 cm rainfall.
For Tuesday, the weather forecast has been about possible spells of moderate rains across the city and suburbs.
Rainfall recorded in different locations is as follows: Chandanagar – 12.7 cm, Lingampally – 12 cm, Ramachandrapuram – 12.7 cm, Gachibowli – 10 cm, Sivarampally – 10.1 cm, Patancheru – 7.6 cm, Rajendranagar – 6.5 cm.
