Siddipet: Two children drowned in a lake while playing at Jangapally in Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal on Monday. Kotte Vivek (10) and Boya Manishwar (11) went to the lake located on the outskirts of the village after school hours.
In a playful mood, the duo, who did not know how to swim, ventured deep into the water and drowned.
Villagers retrieved the bodies after a couple of hours of effort. The incident left the entire village in shock. The police registered a case.
