Jagtial: The inefficiency of the maintenance staff in repairing a broken pipeline of Mission Bhagiratha came into sharp focus when the pipeline developed another leakage immediately after repair works were taken up near Nallagoda village here on Monday.
Reports said the pipeline had broken two days ago and leakages had become a common problem. The maintenance staff took up repairs on Monday and declared that the work had been completed. Following this, water supply was restored, but the pipeline developed a major leakage again.
This time, the leakage was so severe that water was jetting over 10 ft into the air, inundating the Jagitial-Vemulawada road. Vehicular traffic movement was affected on the road, leading to severe criticism of the maintenance staff.
