Nalgonda: Four members believed to be from the same family were found dead in a decomposed state under suspicious circumstances at their residence in Telangana Colony on Sagar Road here on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Sultan and his wife Haseena. Sultan was a bag merchant in Prakasam Bazaar, while Haseena worked at a private school. The identities of the other two bodies could not be immediately established as they were in an advanced stage of decomposition, according to reports.
Residents alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from the house.
Police reached the spot, recovered the bodies and began an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest the deaths may have occurred four to five days ago. Local residents told the police that another young member of the family was not found in the house. Police are verifying the information as part of the investigation, reports added.
