Watch: 37 passengers escape unhurt as TGSRTC electric bus catches fire near Karimnagar

Thirty-seven passengers escaped unhurt after a TGSRTC electric bus caught fire near LMD Colony in Karimnagar on Sunday. The driver promptly stopped the vehicle and evacuated all passengers. A technical fault is suspected to have caused the blaze.

37 passengers escape unhurt as TGSRTC electric bus catches fire near Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Passengers aboard an electric vehicle of the TGSRTC had a providential escape after fire broke out in the vehicle near LMD colony here on Sunday morning.

The driver who got alerted as the fire broke out stopped the vehicle and ensured that all the passengers deboarded the vehicle. None was hurt in the fire mishap. The vehicle was on its way to Hyderabad from Karimangar.


Some technical glitch is believed to have caused the fire accident which gutted the bus completel. There were altogether 37 passengers in the bus. Investigation is in progress.
