A blood donation camp organised by the SBI Staff Union Hyderabad Circle and the Indian Red Cross Society in Mancherial collected nearly 100 units of blood. The event marked the 22nd death anniversary of union founder Y Tharaknath and saw participation from SBI employees

Mancherial: Blood donation camp organized to mark death anniversary of SUHC founder

Mancherial: A blood donation camp was organised to mark the 22nd death anniversary of Y Tharaknath, the founder of State Bank of India (SBI) Staff Union Hyderabad Circle (SUHC), in association with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), on the premises of SBI here on Saturday. Rithesh Kumar Gupta, SBI regional manager, was the chief guest at the event.

Led by K Srinivas, a regional secretary of the union, several employees from different branches of SBI took part in the blood donation camp. They donated nearly 100 units of blood during the camp. IRCS representatives said the blood would be given free of cost to victims of road accidents and patients with thalassemia and sickle cell disease.


SBI chief manager Alok Varma, HR Ramakrishna, IRCS Mancherial district general secretary Chanduri Mahender and state member V Madhusudan Reddy were among those present at the event.
