Hyderabad: Opener Abhishek M. Reddy’s century (112, 60b, 10×4, 5×6) went in vain for Kakinada Kings as Royals of Rayalaseema scored an impressive-four-wicket win in the Andhra Premier League T-20 cricket championship at Dr YSR Cricket Stadium in Kadapa on Thursday.
Batting first, Kings scored 211 for five in 20 overs with Lekhaz Reddy (37, 17b, 2×4, 3×6) batting well in the slog overs.
In reply, Royals achieved the target in the 19th over thanks to fine knocks by G.S.P. Teja (76 n.o., 43b, 6×4, 3×6), Y. Vasu (42, 14b, 2×4,5×6) and Teja Reddy (41, 21b, 1×4, 3×6).
The scores: Kakinada Kings 211/5 in 20 overs (Abhishek 112, Lekhaz Reddy 37) lost to Royals of Rayalaseema 213/6 in 18.3 overs (Y. Vasu 42, GSP Teja 76 n.o., Y. Vasu 42, Teja Reddy 41, S. Ashish 4.30).
