Mercury soars past 40 in Hyderabad and districts on Tuesday

Telangana continues to face intense heatwave conditions with several districts recording temperatures between 41°C and 43°C. Mancherial registered the State’s highest at 43°C, while Hyderabad hovered around 40°C.

Hyderabad: It is the middle of June and there is a heatwave prevailing across Telangana districts.

On Tuesday, several Telangana districts witnessed temperatures between 41 degrees Celsius and 43 degrees Celsius, even as the IMD, Hyderabad extended the heatwave warning till June 19.
According to Telangana Development Planning Society (TSDPS) data, Neelwai in Mancherial district recorded the State’s maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius while the mercury stood around 40 degrees Celsius in Vittalwadi in Hyderabad.


In Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Dammaiguda community hall recorded the maximum of 40.1 degrees Celsius while in Rangareddy, NGOs colony, Vanasthalipuram recorded 39. 5 degrees Celsius.
Narsapur in Medak district recorded the maximum of 40.6 degrees Celsius while Manoor in Sangareddy recorded a maximum of 39.5 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, heatwave warning is issued for Adilabad, KomuramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, where the maximum temperatures will range between 41 degrees Celsius and 44 degrees Celsius, till Friday.
