Adilabad: Meanwhile, vehicular movement came to a standstill on a road after strong gales coupled with heavy downpours uprooted trees between Birsaipet and Dantanpalli villages in Utnoor mandal on Saturday.
Locals claimed that at least eight trees had fallen due to the gales and downpours, resulting in disruption of traffic on the busy Utnoor-Jannaram road for hours. Motorists using the stretch faced inconvenience as the fallen trees obstructed traffic. The trees were yet to be cleared as of the latest reports.
