Man held at Hyderabad airport for using forged migration documents

Hyderabad: A man was arrested for allegedly attempting to travel to Oman using forged migration documents at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Thursday.

According to airport officials, the passenger, identified as Dheeraj, had planned to travel to Oman for employment. He reportedly approached an agent who provided him with a fake e-Migrate clearance certificate, allegedly forged in the name of Sameer and falsely shown as having been approved by the Ministry of External Affairs, India.


During document verification at the airport, security personnel detected discrepancies and confirmed that the certificate was forged.

Dheeraj was immediately taken into custody and handed over to the local police.

The RGIA Police registered a case and are investigating to identify those involved in the forgery and recruitment racket.
