Hyderabad: Warangal Warriors, a franchise in the TG20 League organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association, has unveiled an ambitious long-term vision and grassroots sports development roadmap.
Mr. Naini Rajender Reddy, MLA, Warangal West; Mrs. Chahat Bajpai, IAS, Collector, Hanumakonda, and Commissioner, GWMC; Karnati Varun Reddy, IAS, CMD, TGNPDCL; Sunpreet Singh, IPS, Commissioner, Hanumakonda; and co-owners of Warangal Warriors — Varun Jupally, Phani Chitneni and Dheeraj Induru — graced the occasion.
Backed by M/s Bain Global Resources Pvt. Ltd., Warangal Warriors is one of the eight founding franchises of the TG20 Cricket League.
The franchise unveiled a bold vision anchored in creating the ultimate talent pipeline, building a seamless pathway from grassroots cricket to the highest level by scouting, mentoring and developing young talent from Telangana, with the ultimate goal of producing future IPL and India players.
The Warriors also announced plans to invest in world-class sporting facilities and training ecosystems in Warangal to provide local athletes with opportunities that rival the best in the country. The franchise outlined its competitive TG20 campaign strategy and highlighted its formidable squad, led by marquee signing Mohammed Siraj, alongside Aman Rao Perala and other promising cricketers, ahead of the much-anticipated TG20 League season.
“While securing a player of Mohammed Siraj’s stature demonstrates our intent to compete at the highest level, our larger mission is to leave a lasting legacy. We aspire to build a sustainable talent pipeline and world-class sporting infrastructure that will inspire and enable generations of young athletes from Warangal and Telangana to dream bigger, compete stronger, and one day wear the Indian jersey with pride,” the franchise said in a media release.
