Telangana DGP C V Anand inaugurated the Integrated CCTV Monitoring System at the Adilabad Command and Control Centre. The network integrates nearly 1,800 cameras for real-time monitoring and supports crime detection, traffic management, cybercrime prevention and road safety initiatives.

DGP CV Anand inaugurates CCTV monitoring system in Adilabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police CV Anand on Wednesday inaugurated the Integrated CCTV Monitoring System at the Adilabad Command and Control Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP highlighted Adilabad’s strategic importance as a transit corridor connecting Nanded, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad and the Maharashtra border. He said the CCTV network would help monitor traffic, prevent accidents, detect crimes and enhance public safety.


Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan informed that nearly 300 new CCTV cameras had been installed recently, taking the total number in Adilabad town to around 600, while over 1,200 cameras had been installed across villages. All cameras have been integrated with the Command and Control Centre for real-time monitoring.

During a review meeting with district police officers, the DGP stressed proactive policing, cybercrime prevention, road safety and anti-narcotics measures. He also participated in the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika programme at Tosha village, where he stressed the need for village-level road safety committees and greater public participation in tackling cybercrime, drug abuse and road accidents.
