A woman identified as Komal allegedly died after being attacked by her husband, Avinash, at their residence in Attapur. Police registered a murder case and launched a search operation for the accused, who is currently absconding following the incident

Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly murdered by her husband following a domestic dispute reportedly triggered by suspicion at their house in Attapur on Friday morning.
According to preliminary information, the suspect, Avinash, allegedly attacked his wife, Komal, with a knife at their residence in Tejaswi Nagar Colony.
Family members rushed the seriously injured woman to a nearby private hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.
The victim’s son, who reportedly witnessed the incident, alleged that the couple had been arguing until around 3 am. He claimed that Avinash attacked Komal in a fit of rage and chased her when she tried to escape. The boy further alleged that Avinash continued the assault on Komal using a screwdriver and an iron rod despite his attempts to stop him.
The Attapur police reached the spot and collected evidence. A murder case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Police have launched a search operation to trace and nab Avinash, who is currently absconding.
