Malkajgiri Commissionerate police have booked 46 cases against illegal spa centres after inspecting 113 establishments in a special drive in Hyderabad. The highest number of violations were reported in LB Nagar Zone, with 17 cases registered.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate have registered a total of 46 criminal cases against illegal spa centres following a large-scale enforcement drive.
During the operation, officials inspected 113 spa centres across the commissionerate limits and found multiple violations, including operating without the required permissions, maintaining concealed rooms without transparent doors, failing to collect customer identity proofs, and not maintaining mandatory records.
Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B Sumathi said the highest number of cases were booked in the LB Nagar Zone, where 17 cases were registered after inspections of 47 establishments.
Cases have been filed under relevant provisions of the BNS and other laws.
The police warned property owners to verify tenants before leasing premises for spa operations and urged citizens to report suspicious or illegally run centres.
