Hyderabad: The Commissioner, Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), G Srijana has directed officials to closely monitor old and dilapidated buildings, with specific attention to cellar excavations, in view of the rainy season.
As part of monsoon preparedness, on Thursday, she spoke with the officials concerned and directed them to take timely action on identified dilapidated buildings, cellar excavations and unauthorised hoardings to ensure public safety during the rainy season.
During the meeting, the Commissioner reviewed the status of disposal of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) applications, building permission applications processed through the BuildNow system, Transferable Development Rights (TDR) applications, pending court cases, the grievance redressal mechanism, removal of encroachments, and land acquisition and road widening projects.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of expediting the disposal of pending applications and priority works while maintaining transparency and accountability in service delivery. While reviewing the progress of road widening and encroachment removal initiatives, the Commissioner directed the departments concerned to resolve bottlenecks to facilitate the timely execution of infrastructure projects aimed at improving urban mobility and civic amenities.
