A 24-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband following a quarrel at Kukatpally in Hyderabad on Thursday. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.

Hyderabad: A woman was murdered allegedly by her husband over family disputes at Kukatpally on Thursday.
According to the police, the couple Asmara Begum (24) and Shaik Rahim (26), an auto-rickshaw driver were married in 2024 and stayed in Indiramma Colony of Kaithalapur in Moosapet. They couple also have a one-and-a-half year old son.
On Thursday morning, a quarrel ensued between the couple and in a fit of rage, Rahim allegedly slit Asamara’s throat with a sharp-edged weapon resulting in her death on the spot. Later, Rahim went to the police station and surrendered before the police.
The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered.
