The ships, including oil tankers and commercial cargo vessels, crossed the strategic waterway under IRGC naval protection, according to a statement from the force’s public relations office.
“Smart control of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out with authority, and evil foreigners [enemy forces] will have no place in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement said.
