Hyderabad: In the Conference A final of the CCPL Club League, Penguin PC defeated DRC Sports Foundation 4-2, while in the Conference B final, Vikings PC emerged victorious.
What began as side-court battles across 19 city venues concluded at the Crosscourts Sports Club in Gandipet. Over 10 weeks, the home-and-away circuit built fierce local rivalries, drawing an on-ground audience of over 8,000 and providing more than 220 playing opportunities for over 350 registered athletes, including 92 women.
Riding that momentum into the ultimate State of the League Final, Vikings PC delivered a dominant performance, sweeping Penguin PC 4-0 to claim the championship.
“We’re extremely happy to win the title and this is only the beginning for Vikings and a whole bunch of talented athletes,” a Vikings PC representative stated.
“A huge thank you to the Centre Court team for organising such an amazing tournament. What they’re doing for the pickleball community is truly amazing. Finally, a huge shoutout to our players and supporters who were there for us from day one. This is not the last time you’ll be hearing this name. Let’s go Vikings!”
Yashwanth Biyyala, Co-founder, Centre Court Sports & Entertainment, noted, “What’s exciting is how competitive the league became right at the end. Every team in the top four had moments when they looked capable of going all the way, and that’s what made the finals really interesting.”
Vikrant Rao, Co-founder, thanked the fans for their support.
