Three member inter-state burglars gang busted in Adilabad; 33 tolas of gold woth Rs 46 L recovered

Adilabad police busted an inter-state burglary gang and arrested three persons during a vehicle check. Police recovered gold, silver, cash, mobile phones and a car. The accused allegedly confessed to committing burglaries in multiple Telangana districts over recent days.

Adilabad: An inter-state gang involving in house burglaries was busted with police arresting three members and recovering 33 tolas of gold worth Rs 46.46 lakh, 77 tolas of silver, a car, four mobile phones and Rs 15,200 in cash from them. Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan said on Wednesday that Jaichand Gokul from New Delhi, Prem Shalikram Khatri, and Sathendra Gupta both from Nagpur were detained while trying to run away during a vehcile check at the CCI in the morning.

During interrogation, the trio confessed to committing the burglaries in Adilabad, Warangal, Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts over the last few days. They admitted to targeting houses locked for a long time. They disclosed that they were travelling in a car using fake registration number and fast-tag as well to hoodwink police. Akhil commended Inspector Sunil Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Ashok, Sanjay, Ramesh, Hanumanthu, Satla Srinu, Zakeer, RS Ramesh, Rukma Reddy, Rahath and others for arresting the three members of the gang. Adilabad DSP L Jeeevan Reddy and other police officials were present.
