Amaravati: TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asserted that people’s support for the party has remained unwavering over the years.
Delivering his keynote address on the first day of TDP’s annual conclave ‘Mahanadu’ at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri, Naidu highlighted the party’s 45-year legacy of championing public causes.
“Over the years, people’s support for TDP has not diminished. For 45 years, TDP has been fighting for public issues. It did not back down even in the face of attacks, violence, murderous politics, fake cases and harassment,” the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said.
Reflecting on the challenges faced during the previous YSRCP regime, Naidu said he was arrested illegally while TDP working president Nara Lokesh’s padayatra Yuvagalam (political walkathon) was blocked back then.
However, he said people blessed TDP and entrusted it with the mandate to govern once again.
According to him, TDP is a university which creates leaders and Rs 160 crore was spent for the welfare of party activists.
Focusing on youth, technology and next-generation opportunities, with a strong emphasis on both Gen Z and Alpha, Naidu said the government’s long-term vision is being shaped around the aspirations of the generations that will define the state’s future over the next two decades.
The Chief Minister said artificial intelligence, quantum technology, semiconductors, aerospace, electronics, automobiles, entrepreneurship and future-ready employment are key pillars of Andhra Pradesh’s growth strategy.
Naidu underscored that Andhra Pradesh would become a destination for AI, space technology, semiconductors, aerospace, electronics, and advanced manufacturing, while also encouraging young people to pursue entrepreneurship and innovation.
He emphasised that TDP does not work merely for the next election but for the next generation.
Further, Naidu underlined that programmes are being implemented to propel women in education, employment and financially.
He observed that one lakh women became entrepreneurs last year and promised to transform another five lakh women into entrepreneurs.
Attributing the 2024 election victory to a key role played by women, he said this year’s Mahanadu is dedicated to them as Women’s Mahanadu.
Further, Naidu noted that the TDP-led government has attracted investments worth Rs 23 lakh crore in the past 23 months, employing ‘speed of doing’ business.
Starting June 1, he said the government issued directions to supply power at Rs 1.5 per unit to newly registering aquaculture farmers, and promised to complete several pending irrigation projects.
Targeting YSRCP, Naidu said the southern state’s brand has been revived following the alleged devastation caused by the previous government.
Naidu advised party leaders and cadres to remain vigilant during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in the state.
He called on TDP leaders to work amicably with alliance partners to repeat their 2024 electoral success, with the ultimate goal of achieving a healthy, wealthy, and happy Andhra.
